el presto....

Its a sunny Sunday afternoon like how all Sundays should be, memories of the campfire still fresh after a long night's sleep, although being my first, i feel as if i've been to a thousand campfires already.

Arrived at school finding scores of uniformed bodies lingering all over the bus stop as i made my way to the nearest familiar crowd, initially being the only one in incomplete prefect's uniform (without the blazer), the sense of worriedness was slowly filling me up like a jug, until i caught eye of ming han making his way towards me, informing me that we only needed one more prefect to be there till we're granted in.. and so we waited from 7.10 to 7.45 for ironically, our prefectorial board adviser's daughter, and now i wonder who was the one stressing on how punctuality should be embedded into the daylights of every living prefect, empty talk i suppose..

The setting of the campfire wasn't something ive never seen before, but it was the friendly-ness and the bubbly attitudes of the scouts that caught my attention most, making me feel even more at home was the fact that it was smk tmn sea who was hosting it, minus the "politics", minus the inside power-toppling feuds, our very own scouts troops should deserve a BIG hand, although im only exposed to the works of our school scouts only, not mentioning others out there, they did a pretty good job! A makeshift timber bridge was constructed after the registering booth to welcome visitors into a perimetered space filled with red plastic school chairs and a joyfully decorated stage (a.k.a astaka), cleverly and catchily themed "30 years behind, lightyears ahead"

The night's programme was very much listed on the itenary given, as usual, the typical Malaysian way of speeches, pelvic-thrusting, jiggly bengal beat dances, and a few ice-breaking games before stopping for a 20 minute breath-catch, i was lucky to be having a camera, i mean, what's the point of attending something without managing to capture it for further keeps, which probably explains my used memory of a 103 pictures taken... (about 50+ deleted... :p)

After the break, we were connected again to a sketch by andrew and ah beng, playing the apprentices of the infamous Master Soda, notably named themselves Master Cannot-Be and Master Seawater, "lightsabre"-actions are aplenty with a few sarcastic lines here and there, in the end, we all learned that by losing our temper easily, we'll be laughed at by a three headed monster.. as the narrator clearly states.

The night rapped up with another hip-swinging, pelvic thrusting, belly shaking dance, pretty intimidating i reckon, i checked my watch and it read 11.23p.m, so i called home for transport, only to be greeted by mum who could say nothing else but "wahh, dont wanna come home arh?" come on mum! compared to lynn, im about 2 and a half hours earlier than the average time she comes home.. speaking about my sister, i was practically counting the times she mumbled "stupid" uncomprehensively to herself while driving on the LDP, everytime someone swerves into her lane, be it 10m ahead, 20m or even 30m! at last, it all totalled to a whopping 16 "stupid"s in less than half an hour.. i guess the "rude-impatient-malaysian" campaign was proving a fact after all...

and today, i pampered myself with 3 Cheers for Sweet Revenge from My Chemical Romance.....
PEACE!
