30th and 31st May 2005, Chia Eu Jinn learnt a valuble lesson: "Money doesnt come easily"
Sunday afternoon, 29th May, just as i was planning my week to keep me all up and active so i wont fall into the abyss of being a couch potato, fei came calling for a job offer, seems that his dad who is the owner of Canvas Art in Tmn Tun staged up an exhibition in the National Art Gallery entitled Dirgahayu, basicly, it was a huge archive of photos of the sultans and the history of the states still ruled by sultans, so the next morning, 4 of us who turned up to help(or is it just the alluring salary of RM70 a day)... hmm.. we'll never know.. we were then briefed about what to and what not to do in the National Art Gallery, our "seems simple but f*cking hard" task of taking down, wrapping and transporting an approximate number of 1000+ photos with rough wood frames measuring a scary 1m x 1m.. and oh of course, our 30 minute lunch break...

i guess apart from running and jumping and banging ourselves into flimsy walls in the gallery, the more memorable thing of the whole thing was the lunch break, we would go into this posh, artistic cafe located under the gallery, with its store-room turned toilet and whacky acrylic paintings on canvas hung on the walls all over.. the food, thankfully, are all reasonably priced so we would order 2 servings each with some finger food in the middle and hearing the waitress go "wah! kamu makan sarapan pagi atau tengah hari??" or "wah! order lagi!!?" well i guess the food was more enjoyable having the cashier giggling at every order you make...

our job went incomplete the first day over, so instead of a one-day job, it strecthed to the next day, little did we know that we will be getting paid another RM70 for the 2nd day's work.. and the entitlement of another lunch break! so in the end, we got back to fei's dad's office and recieved our pay of RM120 (RM20 has been deducted for lunch of the 1st day), all i can say is that fei's parents are 2 very very lovely people having providing us RM 10 for transport home and RM 30 for mamak after work.. gee thanks feixiang and his parents for giving me this opportunity to realize how hard it is to be earning cash.. oh and if ya parents need anymore help fei, dun hesitate to ask..!

so, while i was working my ass off earning cold hard cash, some of the other fellas were spending dough out there, and today, i spent a quarter of my pay on Audioslave's new album.. and i reckon its well worth it...

I can quite say, today's outing to the cinema was one of the most suspenseful ones ive ever had.. jun wei purchased House of Wax tickets for 10 of us, knowing it was a 18 plus movie, we decided to go in pairs to make things less obvious, so sanjay and sherri got in, then eric and ee jin, then fei and leely, then it was jun wei and ben's turn, according to ben's words:" jun wei la.. go show the tickets faced up! damn obvious summore!!... i have a strong feeling that it might be ben's "NOT 18" look which resulted to the cinema bouncers asking us for their ic s.. in other words, denied entry.. and the "best" they could do is to run towards me and sue zan with the cinema bouncers still watching they're every move.. the authorities kindly got our tickets changed to Star Wars, and after getting pass the bouncer guys, the plan was obvious, the other 3 ran towards cinema 3 which was the oppostie side of cinema 7 where Star Wars was playing... and me, noticing one bouncer guy was tailing us, i walked towards cinema 7 and found myself a seat to catch my breath.. i then called eric to inform me on the movements of the cinema bouncers who are hot on the trails of the 4 of us, slowly and deftly, i crept into cinema 3 and sat on the first empty chair i found, constantly looking over my back to see if any of the bouncers came in with a torchlight, if they did, i was dead meat.. i was more relieved thinking that the other guys were on the other end of the cinema, and i was on my own, which would be easier for me to get out fast after the show.. when suddenly sanjay turned around from the front seat going :"jinn, jinn, is that u?.. come sit beside us laaa" and then i peeked over sanjay and i saw the whole gang sitting directly in front of me.. =.=" no doubt after the show, i was the first to leave, noticing a cinema bouncer standing outside the cinema when everyone was pouring out.. i pretended to be observing the infrastructure of the wall.. well, i can gladly tell you it all went well, my experience of a cat and mouse game...

at least i spent my last 2 days earning cash instead of lazing around at home and rooting myself on the computer chair in front of the screen, and from my point of view, i throughly deserve the outing today to help me unwind after a hard 2 days work, watching Paris Hilton getting impaled by a lunatic mass murderer IS amusing after all!!...

*owh and according to someone's indirect comment, i understand i have a bad sense of fashion..

HAHA... wtv that means..... -.-
