T.G.I.F

thank god its friday!! that thought kept running through my mind throughout my whole outing to 1u today...

The day started off with teacher's day in school, kembara was organizing the telematch for the teachers so i was station assistant, apart from filling balloons and folding newspapers for my station early in the morning, ive only gone a few shades darker.. well, after the presentations in the hall and stuff, hung around school for abit cleaning up and stuff, then had en.zol send me home...

as soon as i got back, i was rushing my ass off, little did i know that ben already gone home early from school, and by the time i was eating my fish porridge, ben was already about to leave for 1u, sis left for gym 5 minutes too early, knowing ben's house is just a stone throw away from mine, i took a (unbelievable) 1 minute bath, 30 second dress-up, and then ben's ride came along with eric and cy at approx 1.10, note, movie starts at 1.15...

i didnt know child's play seed of chucky was in the cinema for ages already, thinking it was a new release, i expected the cinema to be sandwich-packed, walking in, i saw a couple sitting on the top-most row, and a family sitting on the 2nd row, and considering my group had 8 people, the whole cinema 1 of TGV was "filled" by *if im not mistaken* 15+ people... and to make things worst, Child's Play Seed of Chucky is a mixture of BIG FLOP and Lame! imagine 9 bucks! gone just like that!... :p

After all the screaming and amusement of Chucky and co. , we then moved on to TGI Fridays where we pretty much spent our afternoon laughing, squeling, anything that would make the occupants of tables around (its around and NOT beside only!) present us with akward stares.. plus it was xr's birthday, so after all the fajitas, buffalo wings and my november sea breeze topped with "advice" from sanjay about flirting and playa-ing, the TGI guys got xr to stand on a chair and gave her a watering spray, as lame but amusing as it seems, they got her to sing a song with the spray, accompanied by the TGI's rendition of happy birthday, they then present her a choco mocha ice cream cake absolutely free (though eric thought the price of the cake was indirectly charged together with the service tax)... -.-"

This is part of a scenario of me and eric while he was checking out shirts in WH:
(noticing a WH staff was behind folding shirts)
Me: *with amplified voice* eh, eric, in jail, wat shirt colours do they have??
(shop staff turns to stare)
Eric: shut up
Me: no seriously, i heard inmates get alot of choices...
Eric: *tries hard to ignore my comments**chooses a shirt**turns to shop staff* erm, may i know where's the changing room..?
(shop staff points to direction of changing room.... still staring)
Me: eh eric! really... what colour shirts do they have???!!!
Eric: ok thanks...... *points to shirt resting on his arm* this is for guys raight??
Shop staff: yes...... *sudden sceptical look* why?????.....
Eric: *walks away*
Me: haha.. eric! she thinks you're an inmate!!*breaks into uncontrolable laughter*

that was one of the many crazy stuff we did there, and then of course after it all, i had another amusing scenario at home during dinner:
(note: conversations have been translated to english, mine from simple basic teochew, great-grandma's from ancient teochew with a thick accent)
(steps into the kitchen after ben's mum dropped me off. Grandma and great-grandma both having dinner)
Me: halloo "lau ma"...
G.grandma: faster eat! you just came back from work??
Me: yea, to earn money to buy the food you're eating now.. *grins*
G.grandma: where are your parents?
Me: still working laaaa
G.grandma: owh, they must earn alot every month! how much? 20 cents?(refering to back then)
Me: errr no... now they earn in thousands.. *laughs*
G.grandma: *laughs along* so your dad works for a malay company?
Grandma: *budges in* yea....
G.grandma: they captured him???*shows concern* (refering to back then when the chinese communist were at war with the malaysian police)
Grandma: NOla....... =.="*continues eating*
Me: errrrr.......... haha... =.=" *continues eating*
G.grandma: *laughs again*......

those were a few to almost sum up my wonderful Friday... Thank God Its Friday!!... cheers! :p

Firstly, i would like to pinpoint that, to me, writing a blog isnt the easiest thing in the world, i have bad bad memory, so if i do find something to write about, by the time i get to this page, it'd be long gone.. so guys, please be patient...

Well, exams almost over now, it just struck me how fast time has passed since my last post about my meaningless collage of my prized possesions. Without a doubt, i have shat myself in the important papers.. watching everyone pulling off wonderful results isnt doing me any good.. therefore, i have solemnly vowed to myself that i will put my time-managment skills to the test and chart myself a time-table for the 2nd term.. who knoes how far it'll go.. i remember the last time i made myself a flimsy time-table, every column seemed like "rest-time" to me..

I read through a few blogs over the net the past few days, and i came across this Iraqi girl's blog, it amazes me how perfect and zesty her english was considering she stayed around down-town Baghdad where suicide bombing and american bombardment has become a daily routine there, i had fun reading her blog, in one paragraph she stated "Santa Claus'd better knock on my door before he comes in, for any breach of my private property without notice would put him face to face with a Kalashnikov", that sentence shows how cautious Iraqi people have become mainly due to the american occupation in major parts of Iraq and how the rebels have not made their tasks easier.. Neighbours walking to the cross-junction to get daily groceries in the middle of the chaotic town and being blown up by car-bombs or rocket propelled ammunitions have already been a norm ever since the reign of Saddam the tyrant has been toppled.. While we here are hoping for Xboxes and PSPs for christmas, im sure the people of Iraq have wished for nothing more than torchlights and rations... think about it...

On the other hand of war and terror, its Wesak today and well, tommorow's a holiday! :p
oh anyway, i spent half my day at my Buddhist Society selling ice-kacang!.. thats right! ice kacang!.. well, i guess its something like a family tradition, my parents have been selling ice kacang during Wesak for almost decade now, and me, from a defiant little boy wiping tables and collecting used bowls to bossing around the stall.. its tiring and the customers keep on coming, although everything at the carnival are being sold using coupons, i guess it was worth it.. i mean, come on... its Wesak! it happens ANNUALLY! yea.. so you actually buy a coupon book which is 10 ringgit and erm.. your money goes to the building fund of the society, we're gonna build a new building in BU, and then i can have my drumset there! haha.. well, so every single cent counts into the building fund.. i just got back btw, after cleaning up and playing with helium, you know breathing helium makes your voice sound like you've got an orange up your throat.. amusingly fun...

Lets just hope we wouldnt have to wait for too long to the appearance of my next post.. cheers!
